Langtang Gosaikunda Trek

Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is a wonderful experience to the sacred lake of Gosaikunda through beautiful region of Langtang. The trek lies in the Rasuwa district of Nepal. 

Langtang valley lies 72 km far north of Kathmandu valley a proximate distance to Kathmandu. The valley is highly inhabited by the Tamang people who are descendant of the Tibetan people and followers of Tibetan Buddhism. The beautiful peak of Langtang Lirung (7246m) and sacred Gosaikunda Lake are the main attractions of this region. Gosaikunda is one of the oligotrophic lakes lying at a height of 4,380m surrounded with 108 small lakes. It lies within protected area of Langtang National park. The lake is of great importance among Hindus and Buddhist devotees. Lots of people make their Langtang and Gosaikunda Trek for both religious and recreational purposes.Usually the trek to Langtang Gosaikunda set off from the Syabrubesi and ascends to Kyangjin Gompa(3870m) following the trail through the Langtang valley. After visiting Tamang villages, Yala cheese factory, various monasteries , glaciated lakes, high passes,  the trek then commence to an ultimate destination to Gosaikunda Lake. The trek proceeds through some of hilly forests that are decorated with rhododendron in spring. The trek follows the trail which takes you to some of the remotest region. The diverse wild species of flora and fauna are the great attractions of Langtang National park. The rewarding view of Mt. Manaslu (8163m), Ganesh Himal and the Annapurna himalayan range fascinates every one reaching here.
